Mysuru: Schools and colleges in the district will remain closed on November 24 and 25 to facilitate students and faculty to take part in 83rd Kannada Sahitya Sammelana (Literary festival).
The director in the department of public instruction has issued orders for a 2-day closure of schools and colleges in the district. He has instructed to compensate the loss of time by working extra in the near future.
The orders come in the backdrop of the request made by Deputy Commissioner D Randeep. He had earlier asked the University of Mysore (UoM) to postpone exams in view of the lit fest.
