Mysuru: MP Pratap Simha has criticised the Janata Dal (S) party workers’ attempt to assault the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Hassan, Pritam Gowda here on Thursday, February 14, stating, “It was not only an attempt made to finish Pritam Gowda politically, but physically too.”
Condemning the act of the JDS party workers attacking Pritam Gowda’s residence, the BJP party workers under the leadership of Pratap Simha staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
He said, “Our party worker Rahul Kini has an injury on his eye, due to a stone that was pelted on him yesterday, and he is on treatment currently.”
“The JDS has felt the tremor and they are fearing getting uprooted, due to which they are making such heinous attempts. We will not fear such things as the coalition government is ‘impure’ and people have rejected them”, he added.
He termed the JDS releasing audio tapes on former chief minister a ‘hideous attempt’ to finish the BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa, politically.
Pratap Simha also criticised the move of the JDS by saying, “By releasing such audio tapes, the party is trying to fool the people.”
