J K Tyres employee gets stuck in heavy machinery, dies

Mysuru: A daily wage worker employed at J K Tyres factory died after getting stuck in a heavy duty machine during the early hours of morning on November 16, after he reportedly fell asleep during work hours.

Ravi (31), a resident of Sunnadakeri in the city was employed as a daily wage labourer for the last seven years in the same unit and used to work in night shifts. The entire machine had to be dismantled to remove the body.

Family members and relatives of the deceased after hearing the news rushed to the factory but were not allowed by the security staff for some time. Tension prevailed at the factory premises and the situation was brought under control after the arrival of Metagalli police.

Family members are demanding compensation and body is lying at JSS Hospital mortuary.

Metagalli Police are investigating further.
