Its official! Karun Nair to lead Mysuru Warriors team

Mysuru: Mysuru Warriors, a cricket franchise from agarbathi to aerospace conglomerate, N R Group, appointed Karun Nair as the captain of the team for upcoming edition of Karbonn Smartphones Karnataka Premier League powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies. The 25-year-old prolific batsman will be leading the tournament, scheduled to start from September 1. Among the 18 member team, four are from Mysuru.

Karun is an Indian international cricketer, who has led Delhi Daredevils in the second leg of IPL this year. The talented cricketers will also be heading India “A” team in the forthcoming test series against South Africa’s “A” team. Karun will be joining the Mysuru Warriors by the end of this month, post his South Africa series.

The four members from Mysuru are J Suchith, S P Manjunath, B N Bharath and Vyshak Kumar.

Speaking about this latest appointment, Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysuru Warrior says, “We are very confident about Karun Nair’s leadership skills. He along with our coaches has ability to guide the team to excellence. Our good wishes are with the team.”

The team will soon commence their practice session at the SJCE Grounds from August 14. The two top players of the team-Suchith J and Shreyas Gopal will be joining the preparatory sessions after the current Dr.K. Thimmappaiah Tournament organized by KSCA. Along with the selected team members, the 12 shortlisted players from the talent hunt will also be going through a regress practice session, after which 2 players will be chosen to officially represent Mysuru Warriors, in this year’s KLP tournament.

The Mysuru Warriors’ new team for KPL 2017 includes, Arjun Hoysala, Suchith J., K.C. Avinash, Shreyas Gopal, SuneelRaju, Bhareth N.P., Manjunath S.P., S.L. Akshay, Nikith S., Vyshak Kumar, Prateeksh R., ShivilKaushik, Shrijith K.L., VineetYadav, Kushal Waadwani, Vikas Kumar Sinha and Ram SarikhYadav.

The team has retained Rx Murali as the head coach and Vijay Madyalkar as the assistant coach, along with Shyam Rao as the trainer andRaghavendra as his assistant. The team has also associated with Dr. Shravan as the team physiotherapist and Mohan Das as the assistant physiotherapist. The team also brings M.S. Ravindra as the talent manager, M.R. Suresh as the team manager and N. Arun Kumar as the logistics manager for KPL 2017.
