Mysuru: Irked by the fact that health minister Shivanand Patil took three days to meet the people who took ill after consuming Prasadam at Suliwadi temple, former MLA Vatal Nagaraj has said that the irresponsible Health Minister must resign. He also demanded government to appoint senior high court judge to probe the incident.
“If he was responsible, he should have come down immediately. Most of the time these ministers keep traveling by helicopter. Why he did not fly in and reach Suliwadi temple on the same day, ” he questioned and added that Senior High court Judge should probe the incident.
“I will stage protest in front of Suvarna Soudha where winter session is being held, on December 18 or 19 demanding government to hike the compensation from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh or Rs 15 lakh. As the victims and deceased family members come from poor background the government should also provide jobs to all, ” said Vatal.
