Mysuru: A lover who attempted an alternative wedding proposal to ditch his former girl friend got entrapped in the web he did not foresee and ended tying the knot to his first love.
Renukumar, a resident of Talakadu employed as driver in the state-run transport Corporation KSRTC fell in love with a girl named Roja five years ago and remained in a relationship. In a sudden turn of events, he accepted an alternative lucrative wedding proposal and got engaged too.
To pacify his first love Roja, he visited her and offered Rs 2 Lakh in cash, asking her to find a new partner in marriage. Parents and relatives of Roja, who learnt of his plans, locked him inside and made plans for an instant marriage after thrashing him. The wedding with Roja was ultimately solemnised at Veerabhadreshwara temple in Doddegagilu village of T Narispur taluk.
