Mysuru: Miscreants hacked the Mysore City Police website on Sunday, April 1 and published a post ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ on the homepage of the website.

The police came to know about the hacking of their website- www.mysorecitypolice.gov.in, yesterday morning by 8 am. The hackers created a new page and published that ‘Mysore city police website – the government of India #hacked”. Moreover, they published a picture on the homepage where Indian Tricolour was under feet. The picture was captioned as ‘Pakistan Zindabad’. The police doubted that this might have appeared on the website on Saturday late night.

The matter has been brought to the notice of senior police officers. Soon, after a technical process, the police deleted the post. The website was updated and was soon working as usual. However, Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeshwara Rao said, “Police website was not hacked, but the problem was because of virus attack. We didn’t lose any information because of that.”
