Giving political tinge to accident exposes BJP’s criminal mindset: CM

Mysuru: Giving political hue to the highway accident shows the criminal mindset of BJP, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while responding to MP Pratap Simha’s twitter comment.

“If u have guts, face us politically. If u try to finish @AnantkumarH in others means, we will hit the streets n none can save u”, Pratap Simha tweeted after minister Hegde hinted at foul play and a deliberate attempt on his life. Posting pictures and video of the accident on Twitter earlier, Hegde had alleged threat to his life, claiming that he just narrowly escaped a “deliberate attempt” made on his life.

“BJP is party of criminals who resort to cheap politics to gain political mileage”, accused CM and said,”Road accidents take place due to reckless driving, over-speeding and several other reasons.”

One should not think in criminal lines like men in BJP, said CM and justified that he is a better Hindu than Minister Hegde, while responding to Simha’s tweet that minister Hegde, a Hindu tiger. “They are Hindu and communal whereas I’m Hindu and secular”, CM retorted.

Since election model code of conduct is in force, there is no information flow related to accident involving Hegde, CM said.

Pressure from several quarters to contest from Badami

There is enormous pressure from several quarters to contest from Badami and hence ‘B’ form has not been issued to the Congress candidate yet, said CM. “Leaders S R Patil,G D patil and Chimmnakatti have requested me to contest from Badami as they foresee development of the area in the future,” he added.
“I have made up my mind to contest from Chamundehswari and have conveyed the same to the party high command and will take a final call on contesting from Badmai after holding talks with all concerned”, CM stated.

CM greets people on Basava Jayanthi

Basavanna, the 12th century reformer brought about a social revolution and strived to build an egalitarian society. For democracy to sustain and strengthen, caste systems should not exist in the society, CM said .Basavanna’s message to humanity is relevant to this day, CM said while greeting people on the occasion of Basava Jayanti.

CM is currently touring Varuna Constituency in Mysuru to seek votes for his son and Congress candidate Yatindra and is taking part in road shows in several rural hamlets across the constituency.
