Mysuru: The words “Tera kya hoga Kaliya” in the voice of Late Amjad Khan who played Gabbar Singh in the famed movie ‘Sholay’, will send chills down anyone’s spine.
The intimidating presence of the famous real life dacoit, Gabbar Singh, portrayed by Late Amjad Khan, seems to have spilled out into modern day Mysuru.
Seeing a gun toting man out in public is unnerving and if that is not enough, if the gun toting man is dressed like Gabbar then it could be down right nightmare-ish. Ganesh Prasad, a resident of Ashokpuram, Mysuru, seems to have taken his love for the character a little too far. After photos of him imitating Gabbar Singh and wielding a gun in public went viral, he has become the talk of the town… probably not the good kind.
Dressed in a red shirt and wielding a single-barrel gun, he roams around town, drawing eyes and sparking confused whispers.
If this was all he did, people would have left him to his whims but, he is alleged to have opened fire in the air in September of 2017, sending everyone into a panic. He has reportedly been warned numerous times but, this seems to have had no effect on the self-styled Gabbar Singh.
Residents plan on filing a police complaint and are also asking for is gun license to be revoked.
