Mysuru: G T Devegowda should not return the Higher Education Minister portfolio, instead, he should take it as a challenge and deliver, said Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha leader Badagalapura Nagendra.
“Not all ministers are educated. With the assistance of bureaucrats and experts, they deliver. It will be the same with G T Devegowda. With the assistance of bureaucrats, experts and his own experience, he will provide good administration and justice to his portfolio. With his vast experience, we are confident of G T Devegowda providing good governance to the people. Coming from a rural background, it’s an opportunity for G T Devegowda to prove himself by providing able administration”, added Badagalapura Nagendra.
Regarding Puttaranga Shetty, who is allegedly not happy with minor irrigation, Badagalapura Nagendra said, “Though the budget allocation is less to the department, to provide good service to the people, especially to farmers, it’s a good portfolio. We are not happy with Puttaranga Shetty who is said to be not happy with the portfolio. If he wants more budget allocation let him demand and get but it’s not right on his part to feel bad about the portfolio.”
Farmers’ statewide protest in three to four days
“If Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy does not keep his promise of waiving Rs 1.14 Lakh Crore farm loans in three to four days’ time, we will organise a statewide protest”, added Nagendra.
