Four SDMIMD students visit British University in Dubai

Mysuru: As a part of the ‘Study Abroad Programme’, four students belonging to One-Year Full-time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) had been to the British University in Dubai.

The Student and Faculty Exchange Program in the field of Management Education is a much sought after academic activity among SDMIMD students, researchers and faculty. SDMIMD. After becoming a partnering institute with the British University in Dubai (BUiD) for Student and Faculty Exchange, it has extended the ‘Study Abroad Program’ (SAP) to the One-Year Full-time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM). Four students Navya Seetharam, Devyanee Rani, Shruthi K Raj and Jahnavi M S, were on a week-long SAP scheduled between February 3 and 7. The exchange programme between SDMIMD and British University in Dubai is going on for the past six years. Though the programme has been for regular two year courses, this is for the first time that they have also included one year course.

The students selected for the programme were exposed to the business education in fields that included Operations, HR and Finance, both theoretical and practical aspects. The SAP for the students culminated with project work, under the supervision of Amer Alaya, Head of Student Administration, The British University in Dubai (BUiD), UAE. After completion of the programme, the students were awarded with certificates.
