Mysuru: Responding to a statement by former minister and rebel MLA A H Vishwanath, former MP Dhruvanarayana said that he did not believe Vishwanath was a village bird, instead suggesting that he is a bird that flies from one party to another.
The remarks come after Vishwanath announced that he was writing a book based on the fall of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in Karnataka.
Addressing the mediapersons in Mysuru, Dhruvanarayana said that Vishwanath had no morality. "This is a blackmailing technique. The Congress party gave him everything and even made him a minister. First, he betrayed the Congress and went to the JD(S). After joining the JD(S), he was elected as an MLA and even became the party president. However, he betrayed even the JD(S) and joined the BJP party," the former MP said.
"Now, he is trying to get a ministerial post by blackmailing the BJP. The BJP has no ideals. Yediyurappa has the opportunity to do good governance but the BJP high command is not allowing him to even expand his Cabinet," Dhruvanarayana added.
Commenting on the proposal of the Union Budget today, Dhruvanarayana said, "We are expecting a good budget as this is a golden opportunity for the BJP to propose a development budget."
