Mysuru: A First Investigation Report (FIR) has been filed against Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hedge for his alleged derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at a public function in Kittur of Belagavi district recently.
Mysuru District Congress President B J Vijaya Kumar had lodged a private complaint against the union minister terming his action as “intentional.”
Taking cognisance of the matter, the court directed Devaraja Police to file a FIR in the case.
Since the remarks were made by minister Hegde at Kittur in Belagavi, the FIR will be transferred to the jurisdictional police station there, confirmed City Police Commissioner Dr. Subramanyeshwar Rao.
