Mysuru: Fritha Vincent and Olafa Mason, a couple from England, entered into a wedlock under the concept of “Mantra Mangalya” in Mysore on January 7.

The simple wedding took place at “Odanadi Swayam Seva Mandir” of JP Nagar in Mysore.

Fritha Vincent (38), a social worker by profession and Olafa Mason (41) a carpenter, were both in love for the past 10 years and had planned to tie the knot in the traditional Indian manner.

Mantra Mangalya, is a marriage concept propagated by poet Kuppalli Venkatappa Puttappa (Kuvempu). There are no Vedic rituals or chanting of Sanskrit mantras under this concept.
