Mysuru: One of the disqualified MLAs from the Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition and former JDS state president, A H Vishwanath has tendered an apology to JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda for taking an anti-party stand.
Speaking to media, here on Sunday, August 4, he said, “The prime reason for all the 17 coalition MLAs tendering resignations was the political pressure that we were going through.”
“The only reason for the collapse of the Congress-JDS coalition are the leaders who had taken the charge of running the coalition government. None of the disqualified MLAs or the Bharatiya Janata Party can be blamed for it”, he added.
“They have failed miserably to run the coalition government, because of their own suspicion. The roots of the government were neither shaken by ‘Operation Lotus’ nor by the BJP,” he said.
Lambasting at former minister from JDS, Sa Ra Mahesh, he said, “Sa Ra Mahesh is immature. He accused us of standing against the coalition government for money, which was not the case. All the disqualified MLAs did not resign expecting any portfolios. We are all from economically strong backgrounds. We will not sell ourselves for money.”
