Mysuru: Former CM Siddaramaiah pointed out that the proposal of setting up a replica of Disney Land first came up when he was the Chief Minister, but he declined to reveal the reason for dropping the proposal.
Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, he stated that when he was the CM, a proposal was sent to the state government in this regard. “But, we decided to drop it. CM HD Kumaraswamy must take a final decision only after a careful analysis,” he said.
“The CM must take suggestions of the experts before going ahead with the project. It should not create problems for anyone,” he said.
Reacting to former CM Siddaramaiah’s statement, tourism minister S R Mahesh informed that there is no question of going back from the proposal. “It will generate 1 lakh jobs. It will change the destiny of the locals,” he stated.
