Mysuru: Janata Dal (Secular), on May 5, accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of misusing power in Chamundeshwari and demanded Cheif Electoral Officer (CEO) to declare the constituency as ‘sensitive.’
Speaking to media at the Press Club here, JD(S) legal cell State President A P Ranganath said, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is misusing his power by using officials and administrative machinery to the maximum extent. We will approach CEO to take action against this misuse. If he fails to take any initiative, we will complain to the Chief Election Commissioner of India. We request Chief Electoral Officer to declare Chamundeshwari constituency as a sensitive constituency.”
He also demanded transfer of Assistant Returning Officer Mahesh from Chamundeshwari Constituency as he is a relative of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
No one can stop G T Devegowda’s re-election from Chamundeshwari
“No one can stop JD(S) candidate G T Devegowda from winning Chamundeshwari constituency. Developmental works undertaken during the tenure of former chief minister H D Kumarswamy and the attractive manifesto of the party will really help him to get more votes”, opined Ranganath.
He also said that both Congress and BJP had failed to protect the interests of the people, and that the only alternative remaining for the state was JD(S).
