Mysuru: Rajamatha Pramoda Devi Wadiyar’s mother died on Friday morning.
Putta Chinnamanni (98) was suffering from age-related illness and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Mysuru where she breathed her last.
Following the death of Putta Chinnamanni, the palace priests have suggested that Dasara puja rituals that happen inside the Palace premises should be canceled for the next three days.
Pujas inside the palace has to be performed by the Maharaja of Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar but as per the Hindu tradition, he is under shutak, therefore, he will not perform any puja for next three days.
The Uttara Puja, Jatti Kalaga and Banni tree Puja have been canceled said sources. Whereas the government programme like Dasara Jumbo Savari will be held as scheduled and there are no changes in it, said sources
