Mysuru: A crocodile was found dead, possibly due to starvation at Kukkarahalli Lake on Sunday.
The carcass was sighted by walkers who informed the forest department. The department personnel reached the sport and fished out the body of the animal from the water.
V Karikalan, Deputy Conservator of Forest said the crocodile was an adult and had apparently starved to death. A post mortem was conducted close to the lake bed which indicated that the reptile’s stomach was empty and there were three tiny stones inside.
