Mysuru: The counting of votes for the Karnataka Legislative Council for South Teachers Constituency began at the newly constructed Maharani Commerce and Management college here on Tuesday, June 12.
After the third round, Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Marithibbe Gowda was leading by 578 votes, when reports last came in. Marithibbe Gowda secured 6010 votes and was followed by Congress candidate Lakshman, who secured 5432 votes. There are nine candidates in the fray for the South Teachers constituency.
