Mysuru: “Smart City programme is one of the major concepts of Modi government from the beginning and Mysuru should be selected for the Smart City in the first list,” said Mysuru-Coorg MP Pratap Simha.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday August 1, he said that during Congress Government’s rule, Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah didn’t use the grants sanctioned by Central Government for the development of Mysuru. For this reason, Mysuru was deprived of Smart City tag.
Pratap Simha replying to Siddu’s statement said that Siddaramaiah himself has read the budget of the State for 13 times. He knows that Union government has released Rs. 95 cr for the betterment of highways, and also sanctioned Rs. 8,096 cr for Bengluru-Mysuru Highway. DPR has also been done for Mekedatu project by Prime Minister Naredra Modi. Siddaramaiah should not project it for political purpose, he added.
Pratap Simha answering to the statement made by Siddaramaiah that CM Basavaraj Somappa Bommai will not be able to ask Union government for special grants by saying that Bommai is not new to politics and he has learnt political strategy at his home itself. Politics is in his blood, he stressed
“Former IPS Officer Annamalai began fasting only for political gain. Our leaders should prepare Mekedatu’s DPR instead of concentrating on such issues,” he added.
