Mysuru: The confidantes of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are involved in rampant sand mining, and those opposing him face the wrath of local administration as cases are lodged against them, alleged BJP's Varuna candidate B Y Vijayendra.
Raising the pitch in the electoral battle field, Vijayendra accused the CM of neglecting Varuna Constituency during the last 5 years. “Only people close to him receive favours while rest are neglected. Farmers are deprived of water for agricultural crops”, Vijayendra alleged interacting with media here.
“The constituency could have been developed into a model constituency in the state but CM never reached the people in need. Men close to CM are involved in rampant sand mining and cases have been lodged against men opposing him”, accussd Vijayendra.
He welcomed many local Congress and JDS leaders into the party on the occasion.
Former ZP member Siddegowda who joined BJP in the presence of B Y Vijayendra alleged that the CM was never available for people to approach him. "Only Kuruba community people are entertained despite people from all communities supporting him over the last four decades. The works carried out in the constituency lack quality and CM's continuous neglect forced us to join BJP," Siddegowda stated.
