Mysuru: The war of words is on ever since the by-polls have been announced in state and continuing his tirade, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that on December 9, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will be forced to tender his resignation after a disgraceful defeat in the by-polls.
Campaigning for party candidate Manjunath in Hunasur, Siddaramaiah said that soon after BSY’s resignation, the Congress will come to power. “It has been six months since the BJP came to power at the state. Barring the ‘Operation Kamala’ works, the government has not done any other work. Do not vote the rebel candidates, who are contesting on BJP ticket,” he said adding that Manjunath is a dedicated worker of the Congress party, who deserves to win.
Further, talking about the JDS candidate H Vishwanath, he called upon the JDS voters too to come forward and vote for the Congress. “The JDS too is angry that H Vishwanath cheated the party. He is now a BJP candidate. The conventional JDS voters too have a valid reason to vote for the Congress in Hunsur,” he said predicting a landslide victory for the Congress in the by-polls.
“If you vote for the Congress, it is like you voting me to power,” he said calling upon the voters not to fall prey to money or any other commodities that they may be offered by the candidates.
