BJP to ‘teach lesson’ to officials ‘favouring’ present govt once in power

Mysuru: Few officials, especially those belonging to the police department, have been found to be supporting the present Congress government, alleged senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister R Ashok.

“We have identified several officials who are favouring the ruling Congress government rather than discharging their duty impartially. These officials will be taught a lesson when we come to power”, added Ashok.

‘Autos and buses came to a halt but not the people’

Though Chief Minister Siddaramaiah wanted to disturb Parivarthana rally in Mysuru by advancing the bandh, originally scheduled on January 27 to January 25, it didn’t work out as people came out in large numbers to support BJP in his home town itself, claimed Ashok.

“When I contacted Mysuru depot, a KSRTC official told me that the government had instructed not to operate buses in view of the bandh and had even told the conductors and drivers to go home. Though Siddaramaiah tried his best to make this event a flop show, it didn’t work as people across the district, including from neighbouring districts came to the rally in large numbers. I think after seeing the overwhelming response for the rally as well as public support for BJP, ‘dozing’ Siddaramaiah (Nidhe Siddaramaiah) would wake up from his slumber and become more active”, added Ashok.
