Mysuru: The residents normally put up name plates at the entrance to caution about the presence of dogs in their premises with a tag line “Beware of dogs .” Time has come to caution people on similar lines with a tagline “Beware of BJP and JDS”, said actor and politician Mukhyamanthri Chandru in his own inimitable style.
Accompanied by rationalists, Mukyhamantri Chandru was seeking votes for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah near Andolana Circle in the city.
Before independence, people shouted in one voice, “Quit India” to drive the British out of the country. Time has come to replace those catchy words with “BJP-Quit India” and “JDS –Quit Casteism” as they are communal and casteist.
Only Congress party is capable of taking everyone, albeit opposition that is sticking to divisive agenda, noted Chandru.
Rationalists Prof K S Bhagwan, Janardhan (Janni), Aravind Malagatti, Dr. S G Siddaramaiah and Dr. Marulasiddappa among others accompanied Chandru during the campaign.
