Mysuru : Temperatures are soaring in Varuna Assembly Constituency ever since B S Yeddyurappa's son B Y Vijayendra made up his mind to take on the son of state Chief Minister Siddaramiah Dr. Yatindra on the latter's hometurf.
Hectic parleys have already begun in the rival camps to conquer Varuna Assembly Constituency where stakes are very high, considering the seat is presently held by none other than Chief Minister Siddaramiah.
As a first step, BSY's son B Y Vijayendra has taken up a two floor residence on rent to carryout all activities during the elction period. The house owned by Shivakumar has suddenly gained prominence as the residence will be the hub for all political activities during the next one month period.
At the other end, CM's son Yatinda held a secret meeting with a prominent Lingyat leader in the region and former IPS officer L Revanasiddiah and requested him to remain in Congress. This visit comes in the wake of open offer extended by Vijayendra to the veteran leader to join BJP.
Yatinda downplayed the visit and said it was meant to seek the leader's support.
Reacting on Yatindra's visit , Revanasiddaiah said, "It's a very healthy development to see youth entering politics but will decide on campaigning at a later date."
With sons of all prominent leaders belonging to major political parties in the state entering poll arena this time, fortunately none is talking of party ideology to embarrass the state voters' further!
