Mysuru: A city known for its rich cultural heritage witnessed a brutal murder of an auto rickshaw driver, during weekend hours of Monday January 28.
An auto driver named Manu alias Johnny, a resident of Muneshwara Nagar was brutally on the Fire Brigade road close to Maharaja Grounds.
Manu was hacked to death using swords and other weapons at about 1 am.
Lakshmipuram police Inspector Gangadhar, with his team had rushed to the spot to assess the situation, during which even a knife was found planted on his back.
Reason for murder is not yet known.
