Mysuru: Veteran Sandalwood actor Late K S Ashwath’s son Shankar Ashwath was emotional, here on Thursday, May 9, after seeing his father’s portrait on the wall of a public place.
Shankar Ashwath who is an actor cum Uber cab driver, was passing through a street in the cab. On seeing his father’s photo frame on a wall belonging to the Mysuru City Corporation along with the photo frames of other great personalities, he stopped by. He bowed down to his father's portrait and spent some time there.
On Facebook, he has posted a selfie image from inside the Uber cab and captioned it, “My father, wherever he is today, will be happy and satisfied watching his son leading a life of principles and honesty. I came across my father’s photograph while I was driving my Uber cab. Some humble person has put his portrait on the wall. I stopped my car and prayed to my father and then moved on.”
Shankar Ashwath, who is also a talented actor did not find success in the industry due to which he chose the profession of a cab driver and joined the Uber Cab service.
Earlier, when the news of him leading the life of a cab driver was spread across by several media sections, Sandalwood actor Darshan had promised Shankar, a role in his upcoming movie, ‘Yajamana.’
Now that he has finished his shoot for the movie, Shankar is back to his life of a cab driver.
