Mysuru: An 85-year-old Mysuru resident has been arrested for making a hoax bomb call to the BJP’s headquarters in New Delhi.
It all started on Saturday noon with the BJP’s head office in New Delhi receiving a threat call that a bomb has been planted in the office. Party leaders had immediately informed the police of the same and during the investigation, it was found that the call was made from Mysuru.
Immediately, the New Delhi police alerted their Mysuru counterparts, who launched an investigation into the case. They found that an 85-year-old from Siddarthanagar in the city had placed the call.
“He seems to be mentally disturbed and also has a hearing problem. A decision about him will be taken after a medical examination,” said police.
