Mysuru: The city of Mysuru is a popular destination for tourists during the Dasara festival as the entire city celebrates it in an elaborate fashion. Scores of people swarm pilgrim centres and other popular areas in the city. The Dasara parades are also quite famous and attract lakhs of people.
To enable tourists to watch the final parade on Vijayadashami and to participate in the festivities, the KSRTC has deployed 2500 additional buses in Mysuru. The buses hit the road on Wednesday, October 17, and will ply till October 22.
The buses will ply from Kempegowda Bus Station, Mysuru Road Bus Station and Shanthinagar Bus Station.
Apart from this, 150 special buses will be available for tourists who wish to visit prime centres in the district like Chamundi Hills, KRS dam/Brindavan Gardens, Srirangapatna and Nanjangud. These buses will also ply to destinations outside the city like Madikeri, Mandya, Malavalli, H D Kote, Chamarajanagar, Hunsur, K R Nagar and Gundlupet.
