Mangalore: The workers union, magalore unit will organise a hunger strike protest in front of the ESI hospital to urge the central government to take over the ESI department fully and hence improve the facilities of the ESI hospital in mangalore.
Speaking to media in the press meet held in hotel woodlands , Sudatta jain, the chief secretary of the union said that the due to the present administration the workers are not able to get the benefits of the central government. Due to the unavailability of the doctors the workers are going to the private hospitals and the state government is not keen to fill the vacancies. Hence the central govt should look after the ESI hospital of mangalore and it should make provisions to bring all the workers of the un-organized sector under the ESI scheme.
Hence the union will stage a hunger strike infront of the hospital in front of the ESI hospital on 19th of August.
Hareesh Kumar Shetty, Dayananda Shetty, Naveen Chandra and others were present at the occassion.
