Mangaluru: Condemning the terror attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 45 troopers, the activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal jointly staged a protest at PVS Circle and demanded a befitting lesson for Pakistan in retaliation to the act, on Friday, February 15.
The activists blocked the road for two minutes at PVS junction to mount pressure on central government to wage war against Pakistan. They urged the central government to declare full-fledged war against Pakistan instead of a surgical strike.
VHP Mangaluru Division Secretary Sharan Pumpwell, addressing the protesters emphasized the need for taking strong action against those Indians who are indirectly supporting terror activities despite being citizens of this country. “Some Muslim fundamentalists celebrated the death of our troopers on social media, which should not be tolerated. Along with taking revenge against Pakistan, there is a need to take stringent action against misguided Indians whosupport Pakistan”, he said.
VHP district President Jagadish Shenava opined that the action against Pakistan should be taken in such a way that it should vanish from the world map. “We are ready to sacrifice our blood for the sake of our country. Though we are not able to fight against the terrorists at the border, we will extend our complete support to our soldiers who are fighting to combat the terrorist activities”, he said and announced a compensation of Rs 10,000 from his personal end towards the fund taking up the cause of soldiers.
Prior to the protest, the activists recited Hanuman Chalisa for boosting courage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
