Mangaluru: Families near the Nertavathi Bridge woke up this morning to an alarming rise in the water level of the river.
Due to heavy rains in the city since last evening, there has been an increase in the water level resulting in flooding and traffic jams near Kallapu and Jeppina Mogaru.
Several families staying on the first and second floors near Kallapu may have to evacuate if the rains continue to pour during the rest of the day, said sources
