Mangaluru: Mangaluru city police commissioner T R Suresh has been replaced with IPS officer Vipul Kumar in accordance with the state government orders issued on April 16.
Vipul Kumar, a 1999 IPS batch officer presently serving as IGP and director of Karnataka Police Academy has been given additional responsiblity of Mangaluru city commissioner with immediate effect as per the orders issued.
T R Suresh, a 2003 IPS batch officer had taken charge as police commissioner of Mangaluru city on June 12, 2017. He was also honored with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
