Mangaluru: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be organising six days national conference ( Baitak) at Sanghaniketan in Mannagudda from December 25 to 30.
Though the VHP had opted to organise its national conference in megacities in the past years, it is for the first time that the conference is being held in Mangaluru.
VHP state working president Prof M B Puranik informed that over 350 to 400 delegates from USA, Germany, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Nepal among other countries will be participating in the conference. “During the conference, discussions will be held with regard to the construction of Ram Mandir and other contemporary issues. National leaders including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarakaryavaha Suresh Joshi, VHP national president Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje among others will be participating,” he informed.
Puranik informed that food and accommodation will be provided to all delegates during the conference. The first two days of the conference on December 25 and 26 will be meant for the local and state leaders. The conference will be officially inaugurated on December 27 wherein national and international delegates will participate. Important discussions and resolutions will be passed on December 29 and 30.
Durgavahini to organise massive protest against Telangana rape and murder incident
VHP divisional secretary Sharan Pumpwell condemned the rape and murder of a veterinary doctor Priyanka Reddy in Telangana and informed that women organisation Durgavahini will be organising a massive protest in front of DC’s office at 4.30 pm on Saturday, December 4. After the protest meeting, a memorandum will be submitted to Deputy Commissioner seeking stringent action against the culprits who were involved in the incident.
VHP regional co-secretary Krishna Murthy, Mangaluru president Gopal Kuttar and secretary Shivanand Mendon were present.
