Mangaluru: Explicit advertisements, TV shows and web series have earned the wrath of the Vishwa Hindu Parishat, which has now demanded a ban on all these contents.

After the six-day long international convention of  Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at Sanghanikethan in Mannagudda, the saffron outfit resolved that there needs to be a ban on raunchy content that is being aired on various platforms.

Apart from this the organisation has also demanded benefit of Article 29, 30 to be extended to all communities without discrimination, organising Ramotsava programme in every village, expansion of the VHP organisation to many more countries, undertaking nation-wide agitation against the atrocities and conspiracies upon Hindus by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government among others.

Informing about the important resolutions being taken during international conference VHP international general secretary Milind Parande said that in the Hindu society women are worshipped as Goddesses and are not treated as a commodity.

“However, some television shows, internet, immoral advertisements and films target women, create content that may not be safe for the society to view. Hence we demand strict action against such media, television soaps and immoral advertisements. Such content should be banned,” he said.

“With an intention of appeasing  the Muslims and Christians and extending benefits to them, Article 29 and 30 was formulated. Instead of giving special rights to only minorities under Article 29 and 30, it should be extended to all. For that, necessary amendments should be made to the constitution,” Milind stressed.

Coming down heavily on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments Milind said, “ both governments have crossed all the limits in appeasing Muslim and Christians and are discriminating Hindus. From appointing non-Hindus as employees to Hindu temples, to grabbing temple lands, they are doing all possible things to curb the religious rights of the Hindus.”
