Mangaluru: BJP’s state co-spokesperson Sulochana Bhat condemned the stone pelting incident at Kuttar on a bus which was returning from Modi’s rally on Saturday, and urged the police department to immediately arrest all the accused involved in the incident.
Speaking to the reporters at the BJP’s election office on Sunday, April 14, Sulochana Bhat suspected the conspiracy of district in-charge Minister U T Khader in stone pelting incident. “Though the miscreants pelted stone on a bus and manhandled women, district in-charge Minister U T Khader did not condemn the incident. Hence, we suspect the conspiracy of minister in this incident”, she said.
“There was huge crowd during Modi’s rally at Nehru Maidan on Saturday, which made the Congress leaders and activists pelt stone at the bus. Police should immediately arrest all those who were involved in the incident”, she stressed.
Meanwhile, Sulochana Bhat sought the support of women for all the BJP candidates claiming that several pro-women schemes were initiated under BJP government in the last five years. Nirmala Seetharaman and Sushma Swaraj assumed high position under the BJP government, which is a classic example for how the BJP treats women. The various schemes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’, ‘Sukanya Samruddhi Yojana’ among others are benefiting the welfare of the women. Hence, women should vote for the BJP”, she added .
Zilla Panchayat president Meenakshi Shanthigod, vice president Kasthuri Panja, corporator Roopa D Bangera and DK district BJP women’s wing president Pooja Pai were present.
