Mangaluru: Union Minister for Skill Development Ananth Kumar Hegde, on January 18, visited the residence of Late Deepak Rao and met his family members.
He assured the family of providing a government job to Deepak’s brother Sathish Rao in Kudremukha Company and also asked him take up the job in KIOCL Limited.
The union minister also personally offered Rs 25,000 as compensation to Deepak’s family.
It may be recalled that Deepak Rao was brutally murdered at Katipalla on January 3. On the same day, Basheer was attacked in Kottara Chowki, after which he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on January 7.
