Mangaluru: A dead body of an unidentified man, aged about 60 years was found in Mahamaikere at Carstreet here on Sunday, January 14.
Locals who happened to notice the body in the pond, informed the police.
The information has been disseminated to various police stations, to ascertain the identity of the deceased man.
The Mahamaikere is the pond where most of idols installed during Sharadotsava and Navaratri are immersed.
