Sullia: Aziz bin Mohammed (25), who was under trial for an old theft case, managed to escape police custody after a court hearing on Friday, September 14.
On the way back from the JMFC Court to the Hosadurga Jail, Aziz asked to use the restroom at the Sullia bus stop. While at the restroom, he overpowered the policeman who had accompanied him, jumped the compound wall and fled the spot.
Aziz was recently arrested for a murder in Kasargod by the Hosadurga police, it is gathered.
