Mangaluru: In a brazen act, valuables were stolen from two vehicles-a Maruti Omni and an Alto that were parked near Bondel Church here on Sunday, August 5. The devotees were at the church to participate in the 10-day feast of St. Lawrence, which will be culminating on August 10.

Valuables including cash worth 400 Dirams, driving licenses of both India and Dubai, Dubai Emirates identity card, a credit card and a medical insurance card were stolen from the Maruthi Omni (KA 19 N 152) belonging to one Sunil Valdar from Bajpe.

Valuables such as two mobile phones, cash and a power bank were stolen from a Maruthi Suzuki Alto (KA 19 MH 4304) belonging to one Canute J Pinto.

It is reported that the thief fled the spot after he realised that an auto driver nearby had seen him stealing valuables from the Omni.
