Mangaluru: The Mangaluru branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), in association with AMC Mangaluru, organised a two-day 'Mega Health Expo', here on Saturday, April 6. The expo will be held on April 6 and 7 from 10 AM to 8 PM. This is a first-of-its-kind health expo in the city which attempts to bring all health related sectors under one roof.
The event was inaugurated by Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil at the Kadri Park. Chairperson of Organ Donation India Foundation and Chief Promoter of Pandit Health Resort and Spa, Lal Goel was the special invitee for the inauguration.
Renowned hospitals and medical colleges also participated in the health expo.
The highlight of the expo was the Indian Red Cross and Wenlock Hospital, showcasing the importance of blood and organ donation.
The two-day expo will also feature a poster competition for school and college students, health education plays and skits on April 6 and 7 evening, and cleanliness drive in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission on April 7.
President of the Indian Medical Association, B Sachidanand Rai, President of AMC Dr A Divakar Rao and others were present.
