Tulu film ‘Radd Ekre’ to be released on Jan 10

Mangaluru: The much-awaited Tulu film “Radd Ekre”, produced by Sandeshraj Bangera and Rohan Kodikal and directed by Vismay Vinayak, will hit the silver screen on January 10.

The team has already screened the premier show of the film in Muscat, Pune and Manipal. Speaking to the mediapersons here on Wednesday, January 8, Vismay Vinayak informed that the film received good response from the audience during the premier shows. “I worked as an assistant director for the film ‘Rang’. ‘Radd Ekre’ is my second film as a director and I have great expectations from this film. Even though the story revolves around the real estate business, it has a good message for society. Pruthwi Ambar and Nireeksha Shetty play the lead roles and Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Prakash Thuminadu, Manju Rai and others are the support cast. Director Sooraj Shetty, actress Sonal Monteiro and Deepak Shetty play guest roles in the film. The songs have come out really well, the music for which has been composed by Kishore Kumar Shetty,” he said.

Heroine of the movie, Nireeksha Shetty said that the film is a power-packed entertainer. “I was a little nervous after playing the female lead role in the film, but I was calm after I observed the audience’s response during the premier shows. There is no vulgarity in the film and the whole family can watch and enjoy it without hesitation,” she said.

Popular comedian Aravind Bolar said that the film has come out very well and predicted that it would become a milestone in the history of the Tulu film industry. “Even though there are several comedians in the film, the genre is not limited only to comedy. There is a strong message for society in the film and it will achieve success despite even though there is a lot of competition in the Tulu film industry.”

The film will be screened at Big Cinemas, PVR and Cinepolis in Mangaluru, Nataraj in Suratkal, Amarashri in Moodbidri, Alankar in Udupi, Inox in Manipal, Aruna in Puttur, Santhosh in Sullia and the Krishna theatre in Kasargod.
