Belthangady: In Ujire Grama Panchayath limits, three members of a family have succumbed to Covid-19 in less than 15 days.
The deceased have been identified as Puralla (92), his daughter Appi (45), and Appi’s husband Guruva (52), they were residents of Gandhi Nagar in Ujire. In the period of 15 days, all three members of the family died after testing positive for the deadly virus.
COVID cases have risen sharply in Gandhi Nagar in Ujire in recent days, with more than 50 persons testing positive in the area. People in the area are afraid after three members of one family died.
The Taluka administration, on the other hand, has been attempting to reduce the number of cases in the region by raising public awareness and by encouraging them to follow the guidelines.
