Mangaluru: Condoling the death of veteran saxophonist Kadri Gopalnath, Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath informed that there is a plan to build a statue in the city in his honour.
He stated that Gopalnath’s death was an indescribable loss to the Dakshina Kannada district as he achieved international recognition. “He is an inspiration to many. To immortalise his achievement for the next generation, there is a plan to construct his statue,” he said.
Meanwhile, he prayed for eternal peace for Gopalnath’s departed soul and that God may grant strength to his family to endure their loss.
