Mangaluru: “Set a goal in your life and replace the words ‘Can I?’ with ‘I Can’. It is the secret of success,” said orator Adarsha Gokhale on Tuesday, January 14.
Delivering a key-note address at district youth conference and 157th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda, organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra in association with other organisations at the Town Hall, Gokhale said, “The most hopeless statement ever is ‘I will try my level best' and such mentality will not fetch any positive results. Instead of that, we should decide that ‘I can do and why not?’. This was the positive attitude taught by Swami Vivekananda. We should stop thinking negatively while we undertaking any work and go ahead with positive thoughts and attitudes.”
Gokhale said, “Swami Vivekananda was like a powerful anti-virus for our whole country as and he taught us how to stop negative thoughts from entering our minds. If we are able to follow Vivekananda's words, we will respect him,” he said.
Inaugurating the programme, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath said, "Swami Vivekananda was a real inspiration for those who were involved in the freedom struggle. India has got more name and fame because of Swami Vivekananda and he brought international recognition to our country through his speech."
