Mangaluru: As the government has permitted hotels and restaurants to reopen as part of the first phase of the unlocking of the country, the Ocean Pearl Group of hotels resumed its services on June 8 by adhering to the issued guidelines and giving utmost priority to their customers' safety.
It is a known fact that the Ocean Pearl Group of hotels is known for its mouth-watering delicacies and unique hospitality. It has branches in Mangaluru, Udupi, and Hubballi, all of which have resumed services from June 8.
Though the government has also permitted hotels and malls to operate, people are still hesitant to visit them and are staying away due to the COVID-19 scare. While much of the city is seeing fewer crowds these days, the Ocean Pearl hotels are seeing a steady number of patrons because of their stellar customer service and hospitality.
The safety measures undertaken here include sanitization of vehicles that arrive at the Ocean Pearl Hotels, sanitizing of the customers' luggage, thermal scanning of all visitors, use of hand sanitizers etc. Meanwhile, it is compulsory to wear a mask to gain entry into the hotels. All the tables have been set according to the government's guidelines and social distancing norms are also being maintained at the buffet area. Precautionary measures have also been undertaken in the case of home deliveries.
Assistant General Manager of the Ocean Pearl Inn in Bejai, Kapikad, Milan Samuel told NewsKarnataka.com that the hotel adheres to all the safety guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Central Government. "We are giving top priority to our customers' safety and there is no compromise," he assured.
Speaking about the rooms allotments, Milan said that the customers are being asked to fill up a form in which they should mention all relevant details, including their travel history. "Before the rooms are allotted, the whole place will be sanitized, including linen and furniture. Importance will also be given to digital transactions to minimise physical contact between the staff and customers. Once the customer vacates, the room will be kept vacant for 48 hours and will be issued to the next customer only after all the required safety procedures are completed," he added.
Explaining about the safety precautions at the hotel, Milan informed us that the hotel staff will be taking all measures to ensure the safety of the customers. "As the government has asked us to follow certain safety guidelines like maintaining social distance, hygiene of the food, sanitization etc., we are following all these guidelines strictly. We are also taking scientific measures to ensure the safety of our customers," he added.
