Suspected Naxals spotted in Sullia

Sullia: A group comprising two women and a man armed with weapons, believed to be naxals were spotted at Madpady Village in the Sullia Taluk.

Reportedly, late last night, the naxals visited a rubber shed belonging to former APMC president, Hadikal Jayaram Gowda.

According to sources, a labourer from Tamil Nadu, who was employed at the rubber plantation, was residing in the shed. The naxals approached him and asked for dinner. They reportedly, left soon after having dinner.

It may be recalled that a few months ago, a group of naxals were spotted in same taluk.
