Suspected assault by teacher kills a girl

Kasargod: A 11 year-old girl who collapsed in her classroom and then was admitted to a private hospital in the city, passed away.
 
The victim is Ayesha Mehennis, a student of Mani Munda private school in Kasargodu.
 
As there was an allegation that the girl collapsed in the class room after a teacher assaulted her, her mortal remains were taken to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for post mortem.This incident was reported a two weeks ago.
 
Reportedly, the school teacher assaulted the girl for writing the answers on question paper. Though the victim was admitted to a private hospital, she did not respond to the treatment. It is also said that student had epilepsy. 
 
Manjeshwara police have registered unnatural death case.
 
As the girl’s death is suspicious, the deputy commissioner intervened in the matter and aranged for a post mortem.
 
On August 29, the teacher assaulted the student but the parents had not filed any complaint. But citizens and relatives were suspicious about the cause of death.
 
The education department also has ordered for a probe into the incident.
