‘Suraj Kala Siri’ to be observed from Dec 21 to 23

Mangaluru: A three-day cultural fest “Suraj Kala Siri” will be held from December 21 to 23 at Suraj Educational Institution in Mudipu informed State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader here on December 18.

Addressing a press meet, Khader said that the fest was being organised by the Suraj Educational Institution. In the fun-filled fest, Indian culture and art will be depicted.

Briefing about the programme, President of Suraj Educational Institution Dr. Manjunath S Revankar said that State Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashree would inaugurate the three-day cultural extravaganza on December 21. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will confer “Suraj Kalasiri” Award to senior film actress Jayanthi on December 23.

“During the fest, eminent personalities will grace the occasion and I request people to join the fest in large numbers,” he added

Mamatha Gatti, Convener of the programme, Geetha K Uchil and Hemalatha Revankar were present during the press meet.
